Churches from President Hometown and

House Church in China Pray for

Beijing Olympics; CAA Launched Prayer Campaign for 2008 Olympics

Midland, Texas (CAA)-August 7, 2007One year before China will host the Olympics in

Beijing, China Aid (CAA) President, Rev. Bob Fu issued a proposal to Chinese Christians and supporters worldwide to pray for the success of the event.
Meanwhile, the Chinese House Church Alliance and Churches from the hometown of the US President George W. Bush and First Lady Laura Bush in Texas held special intercessory prayer meetings in Beijing and

Midland, Texas.
‘Knowing there will be the unavoidable persecution by potential Chinese officials, the Chinese House Church believers felt led to render intercessory prayers for more Global Love and Peace, via launching continual mass media prayer networks for the Olympics event, as a cornerstone of reinforcing a united and true patriotic spirit,” said Bob Fu, “CAA has been working hand in hand with both the Chinese and American churches to enhance more synergy in the intra- and inter-societal build-up protocols in China. We pray and believe in Faith that a successful and more harmonious Olympics in China can help stretch

China
toward far-sightedness responsibility and accountability, while rendering more worldwide humanitarian compassion in a freer and more freedom-embracing country.”

The Full text of the proposal by Pastor Bob Fu:Pastor Bob Fu’s Proposal Letter to Chinese Christians Worldwide in Support of the Beijing 2008 Olympic GamesDear Chinese Brothers and Sisters, & Supporters, both in

China and overseas:

May our Lord be praised! The opening ceremony of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games is only about a year from now.  As an overseas Chinese Christian, I hereby propose from a heart-felt Fire for His Kingdom Come that we, Chinese brothers and sisters and any Christian Supporters, both in

China, and in the rest of the world to unite in Spirit and give our spiritual support for the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games. Let us each pray more fervently for Gods’ mighty Grace and Mercy for a more seamless implementation operation and success outcomes, according to His riches in Heaven.

God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.  He that loveth not knoweth not God; (1 John 4:16/8)

Love is the foundation of our belief in Christ.  Love is a virtue, as is forgiveness and acceptance.  We can glorify God only when we understand what love is and demonstrate that love to others. I believe that God has given man the opportunity of hosting the Olympic Games in

China — a Great Country close to God’s heart for a rejuvenated spiritual uplifting in His Will and Works.  As sons and daughters of the Land of the Divine (”Shen Zhou“), we have many reasons to pray for bountiful blessings for the successful hosting of these Olympic Games.  This is an honor for the Chinese as a nation and the Olympics in

China
offers us an open opportunity to demonstrate the favorable Grace and merciful blessings from our only Heavenly Father.
The Olympics Games shines an international beacon on the man’s original virtues of truthfulness, goodness, and beauty as seen in athletic sports and God’s gracious Favor and Mercy.  Therefore, I sincerely hope, my brothers and sisters, that you will extend God’s love through your prayers for

China
during this significant event.   I believe this type of support and Christian love will certainly enrich and promote more critical success factors for the Olympics.
Herein, I sincerely propose to all the brothers and sisters, both in

China
and in the rest of the world:

Let us all give our full support with love to the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.

Let us all pray for the Olympic Games in various intercessory ways for the next 12 months.

I will be in joint prayers with you all and closely monitor your invaluable feedback and participation and may make key contacts accordingly for more wisdom and insight, on matters concerning the founding of the Committee of Christians Worldwide for Blessing the Beijing Olympic Games”, so that we can join together in promoting the successful hosting of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.

I hope you will join me in upholding the virtues of love, honor and blessing and sincerely pray for our motherland and the successful hosting of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games!
