Xinjiang-CAA has learned that the case against persecuted Uyghur Christian Alimujiang Yimiti has progressed. A Kashi court has given formal notice that the case will be in session on May 27. The court proceedings will take place using the Uyghur language and will be interpreted in Chinese. A rumor originating from government officials of Kashi Region, is that a six year sentence has already been decided internally by the court. Mr. Yimiti’s wife Gulinuer and their two children hope the case will be judged justly and will result in Mr. Yimit’s unconditional release.
CAA President Bob Fu strongly calls on the Xinjiang and Beijing governments to pay close attention to this case and to release Mr. Yimiti immediately in order to improve international relations and human rights within China. CAA also expresses its concern that Mr. Yimiti receives a fair trial within a court system that seems to have predetermined his sentence prior to trial.
In response to Mr. Franklin Graham’s offensive and inappropriate comments concerning his opposition to evangelism during the Beijing Olympic Games, Mr. Fu stated: “The Chinese Christians are law-abiding, patriotic citizens, but when an unjust law demands them to go against their faith and Jesus’ teaching of the Great Commission, they can not and will not succeed to a ‘faith moratorium’ in order to please an atheistic government during the Olympic Games, even if that means enduring imprisonment and torture. Mr. Graham’s comment is a deep offense to hundreds of House Church prisoners and their family members. ”

Franklin’s Grahams comments are an offense to Christ. These evangelical celebrities betray Christ at every turn by their compromise and rubbing shoulders with the world’s elite and by turning their back on the suffering church. Give me the humble Christians in prison for Christ in China or anywhere else. That’s where Christ dwells.
No cross, no crown; no loss, no gain;
They, too, must suffer who would reign.
He best can part with life without a sigh,
Whose daily living is to daily die.
Youth pleads for age, age pleads for rest,
Who pleads for heaven will plead the best.’

Before you attack Franklin Graham for his comments, please verify the Associated Press reporter did not have an agenda to malign the efforts of all Christians in China by setting up a question that would cause controversy however it was answered. Show grace where it is needed.

I have just read about Franklin Graham’s comment, and with further reading see that what he did was mistake the 3SPM church for the House Churches. I hope that when he was referring to the growing Christian numbers in China, he meant these precious brothers and sisters. These are the ones that are truly “picking up their Cross daily, and following Jesus’ Word, Spirit and Life”! These are the Christians that are being thrown into the Lions Den. But like Daniel, their souls are under the Divine Protection of their Heavenly Father that they depend on! Suffering is only for a season on earth, and denial of Christ is a suffering for eternity! I pray for my brothers and sisters in China, and around the world. Yes, someday each of us will have to be accountable for what we did with our lives, in the body, and for the Body of Christ! Pray for His Body!
