This is so stupid.
China hasn’t learned that religious services can STILL take place simultaneously during the Olympics. I mean, it has been happening in other countries for decades. It is no threat to the Olympics whatsoever. They are making it worse by trying to control it. It is within the nature of man to want to rebel when FORCED to go against their will, whether what they are doing is for good or for bad. This causes people to think more about sharing their faith and pursue more diligently to share the Gospel. It is nothing but counterproductive on the part of the Chinese Government.
I hope that I am able to see God work in a mighty way in this country during my lifetime.

As Christians, we are dearly hurt when our brothers and sisters in Christ are threatened and punished in serving Christ. However God is in charge and we can pray that our Chinese Christians will remain true to God’s calling. We can pray that God will do wondrous things that will open the eyes of the Chinese government officials to the value in treating people with dignity and respect. We can pray that Chinese officials in hi places will come under conviction and accept Jesus. I challenge us to pray that God will open doors for our Chinese Christians and do wondrous things as a witness to the world.

The Chinese government has shown it’s true face leading up to and during these Beijing Olympics. It has made many Western Christians and those who are not Christian aware of the genuine threat to freedom of religion that they are. In that way they have not fooled the west but in fact have done the opposite, never have people learned so much about the reality of the lives of our brothers and sisters in Christ and of the suffering that they endure
