Speakers

Apple Rouse, is a young adult who has benn a house church campus minister in China since 1998. She met Christ as a university student. Following graduation, Apple pursued a business career. However, God soon directed her to prepare for further ministry and she earned a Master of Arts in Christian Leadership in Manila, Philippines. She returned to China, serving the persecuted church and helping develop their outreach to the Muslim world. Since 2005, she has traveled in and out of China facilitating leadership training and campus ministry and serves as a director with China Aid, a key voice for the persecuted Chinese church.

Sarah Liu, is a young woman and church leader in south China. In 2001, the government targeted south China for a massive crackdown on the church. Sarah and many of her Christian friends were arrested and sentenced to death. After an international outcry, Sarah was granted reprieve, but sentenced to re-education in labor camps in China. During imprisonment, Sarah was tortured and sexually assaulted in an effort to force her to testify against her Christian brothers and sisters. She was rescued from China in January, 2005, and brought to the United States as a Christian refugee.

Bob (Xiqiu) Fu was born and raised in mainland China. A house church pastor in Beijing and English lecturer in Beijing Administrative College of the Chinese Communist Party, Bob was arrested along with his wife as an”illegal evangelist” in 1996. After the Fu’s were released, they escaped to Hong Kong, then came to the United States in 1997. Bob is presently a PhD candidate at Westminister Theological Seminary in Philadelphia and the China Analyst for the Voice of the Martyrs(USA). He is the founder and president of China Aid Association which is the major voice for the persecuted church in China. He and his wife Heidi have three young children.
