Belmont Church

Doug and Dabney Mann, pastors of Belmont Church in Nashville, TN, have a special love for China. More than 18 years ago, they started taking in bibles.
Recently, during her quiet time, the Lord told Dabney to go to China to visit and comfort persecuted Christians and their families. But everybody she talked to said it was impossible.
Doug knew about CAA from a newsletter of The Voice of the Martyrs. He called us, and we arranged for an interpreter and for eight families to travel from their hometowns to meet Dabney and her friend, Sandi, in Beijing.
One day, after visiting the home of a woman in the underground church, whose husband was not a believer, Dabney and Sandi were invited to eat in a public restaurant. Dabney offered to pay the tab. But the husband, in true Asian fashion, refused.
Dabney finally agreed to let the husband pay if he would consider becoming a Christian. He agreed and went and paid the bill. When he returned to the table, the ladies said, “Now we will pray for you.”
The husband knelt down right there in the restaurant, and they laid hands on him, asking the Holy Spirit to manifest His power. The husband broke out in a sweat, began to shake and weep and surrendered his life to Jesus.
Dabney and Sandi’s mission not only was a tremendous blessing to their suffering brothers and sisters in China but also inspired and encouraged all the members of Belmont Church.
