Dr. Bob Fu: Guo’s “whistleblower movement” and CCP interference in 2020 presidential election not coincidental

(Washington, D.C.—Oct. 30, 2020) On October 29, Josh Rogin, a columnist for The Washington Post, shared comments from Dr. Bob Fu, founder, and president of ChinaAid, regarding “…Chinese interference on both sides of the 2020 election.” Guo Wengui launching his whistleblowing tactics into the middle of the presidential election “bears the clear mark of the [Chinese Communist Party] CCP actively meddling and interfering in the 2020 presidential election,” Dr. Fu said. “With such a large-scale disinformation campaign, you don’t really have to think of this as beneficial to either candidate.”

According to Dr. Fu, currently in protective custody due to death threats from Guo targeting him, “The information operation is meant to cause confusion and chaos for the American electorate and hurt both sides.”

Dr. Fu stressed that similarly, Guo’s “whistleblower movement” and official Chinese propaganda outlets (including the Global Times) attacking him and other Chinese dissidents in the United States are not coincidental.
