(Xuzhou, Jiangsu—Dec. 28, 2018) Around 12:00 p.m. on Dec. 16, police in China’s eastern Jiangsu province interrupted a church blood drive.

“Today, Da’un Church held a charity event,” one Christian said on the day the incident occurred. “When the authorities chose the time to attack the church, they chose the time when most people were acting in righteousness.”

Of the blood drive itself, one of the church members said, “We love this city. We love the people in this city because God loves us. May this small action warm this city and bring more hope to the people.”
