Association of Chinese Christian Journalists, January 17, 2013.
On Jan. 14 at 11:45 p.m., two artillery shells fell near the urban area, causing a deafening explosion. The windows of our hotel shook loudly, but so far there have been no reports of injuries. The next morning, some residents started packing to leave Laiza. Among them were many Chinese nationals who had come to Laiza to do business. The streets that used to be full of people are now deserted as people have shut their doors.
