(Taipei, Taiwan—April 16, 2016) China Aid president Bob Fu held a meeting with the Speaker of Taiwan’s legislature on Wednesday to discuss human rights, religious freedom and rule of law in China.

“I am deeply impressed by his unwavering support for and commitment to global religious freedom, rule of law and human rights,” Fu said of Su Jia-chyuan, a member of Taiwan’s Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) and the recently elected Legislative Speaker of the country’s lawmaking body, the Legislative Yuan.

Speaker Su also recently hosted participants of the Asia Pacific Religious Freedom Forum (APRFF) in the Legislative Yuan this past February. The APRFF, co-hosted by China Aid in Taiwan, gathered hundreds of religious, government, and NGO leaders from 27 countries to advance religious freedom in the Asia-Pacific region.

China Aid engages with government leaders to develop strategic partnerships in exposing human rights violations, and advancing religious freedom and rule of law in China.
