(Midland, Texas—Feb. 12, 2020) In light of the worsening coronavirus epidemic in China, ChinaAid appointed Dr. Hue-Teh Shih as a public health advisor.

Dr. Shih graduated from Taipei Medical College with his M.D. degree in 1980 and from the Harvard School of Public Health in 1982.

His decades of experience in the medical field include serving as the Director of Cardiac Electrophysiology at the Baylor College of Medicine. He has also operated his own practice and served as the President of the Chinese American Doctors Association of Houston.

Dr. Shih’s appointment comes at a critical time for China, as a virus that began in December is sweeping the nation. Dr. Shih’s work with ChinaAid will help us coordinate our efforts in the midst of the disease.

ChinaAid exposes abuses in order to stand in solidarity with the persecuted and promote religious freedom, human rights, and rule of law. If you wish to partner with us in helping those persecuted by the Chinese government, please click the button below to make a charitable donation.
