(Midland, Texas–Sept. 12, 2011) Chinese Law & Religion Publishing House has just released two new titles: Ezra Pan’s The Church of Tares in China: An Analysis of the Three-Self Church in China, and A Handbook for Defending Your Rights as a Chinese Citizen, compiled and edited by Li Baiguang.

41MI0DUy1ZL._BO2,204,203,200_PIsitb-sticker-arrow-click,TopRight,35,-76_AA300_SH20_OU01_Based on a wealth of research, evidence and case studies, The Church of Tares in China carefully analyzes and criticizes the “Chinese Christian Three-Self Patriotic Movement” that was meticulously cooked up by the Chinese Communist government, as well as the principles and systems of the organizational mechanisms it set in place. The purpose was actually to control the growth of Christianity in China and through a process of “communization” to create splits within the church and conflicts among Christian believers so as to ultimately ensnare the church in Beijing’s plot. The book’s back cover carries words of praise from renowned house church pastor Samuel Lamb; Fan Yafeng, a constitutional law expert and a pioneer of Christian lawyers using the law to defend human rights; and Thomas Wang, founder of the Great Commission Center International in North America.

The author, Ezra Pan, graduated in December 2009 from the Christian Witness Theological Seminary in California with a master’s of divinity degree. Pan started to practice preaching as a youngster, and later went into full-time ministry work preaching, pastoring, and engaging in theological education and writing. In 2006, he and two other brothers founded the magazine Wheatseeds and served as its editor-in-chief. While he was in seminary, Pan also served as editor of “Evangel Literature, Inc.” in the United States. He also published articles in more than a dozen publications both in China and overseas. Pan is now a full-time minister at the Stillwaters Christian Church in California and editor of “Gospel Operation International for Chinese Christians.” This is the link to the Amazon page to purchase the book: http://www.amazon.com/Church-Tares-China-Analysis-Three-Self/dp/1453751297/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1315784904&sr=8-1
