(Midland, TX—Feb. 18, 2020) Today marks the second anniversary of the death of renowned Christian human rights lawyer Li Baiguang.

Voice of the Martyrs Korea made a video about Li to commemorate his extraordinary life. It can be viewed below.

Li died unexpectedly and under suspicious circumstances a few hours after he entered a Chinese hospital in February 2018 complaining of stomach pain. The Chinese government hastily cremated his body before an autopsy could be done and claimed he died of liver disease.

Despite this, his legacy lives on as a champion of religious freedom and the rights of minorities.

Bob Fu, founder and president of ChinaAid, tweeted about the anniversary of his friend’s death saying, “Thx to our ministry partner @VOMKorea 4 commemorating this godly brother/human rights lawyer. Dear brother, like many others, I still miss you!”

ChinaAid exposes abuses in order to stand in solidarity with the persecuted and promote religious freedom, human rights, and rule of law. If you wish to partner with us in helping those persecuted by the Chinese government, please click the button below to make a charitable donation.
