(Chuxiong Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan—Jan. 26, 2016) Christians from three churches in China’s southwestern Yunnan province participated in a three-day faith and legal training camp that occurred between Jan. 14-19.
“Churches need this kind of course; namely, [courses that] give the church strength, courage and support,” one Christian said. “We went from not understanding common law for the church to understanding it. It is really beneficial.”
Bo Ai, the founder of the Chinese Christian Faith and Legal Training Camp, reported that more than 30 Christians attended.
Additionally, Bo distributed more than 1,000 pairs of boots to four villages comprised primarily of members of the Miao ethnic group, many of whom live in poverty. Bo said that those who received the boots were smiling and thankful.
China Aid supports trainings such as this one in order to equip spiritual and community leaders with the knowledge to defend their right to religious freedom through Chinese Constitutional law and international law.
