(Washington, D.C.—Feb. 12, 2019) Last week, a group representing ChinaAid exposed religious freedom abuses in China while visiting Washington, D.C.
On Friday, the United States Commission for International Religious Freedom (USCIRF), representatives of Congressman Michael McCaul, Freedom House, and the Congressional-Executive Commission on China convened with the ChinaAid delegation and heard updated information on the persecution of Christians and Uyghur Muslims, as well as the situation of Li Mingche, a Taiwanese man imprisoned in China for defending human rights. Li Chingyu, Li Mingche’s wife, recently had her visitation rights revoked when she attempted to disclose the Chinese government’s persecution of her husband.
ChinaAid thanks everyone in Washington, D.C., who met with the delegation and heard the stories of China’s persecuted.
