(Chengdu, Sichuan—Dec. 30, 2018) In response to the arrest of more than 160 members of Early Rain Covenant Church in Sichuan, ChinaAid is raising money to continue fighting against the abuses enacted against the church in 2019.

At 6:00 p.m. on Dec. 9, local authorities began systematically arresting the church’s members, taking around 100 of them into custody in the span of one night. The next week, groups of church members tried to gather for services again, but police arrested about 60 more. Because of these attacks, children were left without parents, multiple Christians reported abuse while in police custody, and many of the church’s leaders are now behind bars and facing false charges, which could end them up in prison for years.

At ChinaAid, it is our mission to support Early Rain Covenant Church, but we need your help. Through Dec. 31, a gift of any amount will go towards the church’s legal fees and any other areas with which they might need assistance. You may give by clicking here.

Will you partner with us in helping Early Rain Covenant Church this holiday season?
