Pastor Zhang “Bike” Mingxuan’s open letter to President Hu Jintao posted on October 4, 2010, garnered much positive response. Media outlets and readers received the message solemnly and were encouraged by what the prominent house church pastor conveyed.
Dr. Fan Yanfeng, pictured above, stands alongside Pastor Bike in support of Chen Guancheng, an upstanding human being who is living under oppression in his own home. Dr. Fan is the leading figure in the campaign of appeal for Chen’s basic rights of free communication and access to medical care.
Although Gao Zhisheng has not been heard from since April 20th of this year, the legacy that he is leaving speaks volumes. ChinaAid and the international community demand that he be fully released so he may continue his life freely and have the liberty to return to his occupation as a champion of human rights. The fight is still raging for this man’s freedom.
ChinaAid applauds human rights attorney Zhao Xin and Christian lawyers Dr. Fan Yafeng and Gao Zhisheng who stand up for the rights of the oppressed. We urge the Chinese authorities to be open with their dealings, and let the international community know the whereabouts of Gao Zhisheng.
