(Washington D.C. – February 4, 2026) In the early morning of February 4th, Bob Fu, president of ChinaAid Association, attended the National Prayer and Repentance Gathering held at the Museum of the Bible in Washington, D.C. The national prayer meeting was attended by members of the U.S. congress, leaders from various sectors, and intercessors across the nation. Speaker of the House Mike Johnson and several members of Congress led prayers for the 50 states of the United States, the 3 branches of the U.S. government, seeking God’s guidance and blessings.

Bob Fu’s prayer:

Heavenly Father,

“Blessed are those that are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

I pray for over 100 million Chinese brothers and sisters under severe persecution,

especially for those who are imprisoned like sister Wang Honglan; pastor Wang Yi and Yang Rongli for being sentenced to 5, 9 and 15 years for merely distributing the Bibles, urging repentance of President Xi Jinping and leading your church.

Where power has been used to silence conscience,

We ask You to convict, restrain evil, and bring accountability.

Replace lies with truth, and violence with justice and mercy.

May China not be known for fear, but for faith;

not for control, but for transformation by the power of Christ.

We declare that Jesus Christ is Lord over China,

and that no earthly authority can stop Your Kingdom and your revival.

We pray in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

The case of Wang Honglan was highlighted during prayer, which involved the Hohhot Intermediate People’s Court in Inner Mongolia’s sentencing of nine Christians, including Wang Honglan, to varying prison terms (up to 4 years and 10 months) and imposing hefty fines. They were charged with “illegal business operations” for distributing and selling Bibles in an unregistered house church. This case has drawn widespread attention and calls for prayer from religious freedom advocates.

This prayer gathering emphasized repentance, unity, and praying for God’s healing for those persecuted for their faith. It also called upon all believers to pray not only for current challenges but also to maintain hope and unity.
