Readers Show Their Support for the Chinese House Church

(USA – August 14, 2008) Millions of people around the world have become familiar to the plight of the Chinese House Church thanks to CAA and other organizations. Many readers have written to encourage those being persecuted in China. Rev. Bryon Bywater shares his concern and prayers.

I was reffered to you by the VOM. I am an Anglican Priest working in the Diocese of Tabora, Tanzania with the department of Evangelism and Development, living there for 1-2 months each year. The remainder is spent in the US as a missonary helping the American Church beceome the outposts of Christ’s mercy in their neighboorhood. I am asking if you would please pass on a message to the persecuted church in China so as to encourage them;
Dear brothers and sisters in the Lord,
I thank and praise our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for your witness to Gospel. I have heard your call for prayer and stand each day at a very busy intersection of my town in West Hartford, Connecticut USA wearing my collar and holding a sign reading “please pray for China”. I have had many ask me why and I tell them of your faith. I have also mobilzed over 200 people to seek the face of Jesus on your behalf. Be of good courage, your work is spreading the message of Christ.
