(Heilongjiang—April 14, 2014) China Aid has received medical charts from two of the lawyers who were recently released from a black jail in China’s northeastern Heilongjiang province, where they were illegally detained and tortured.
Jiang Tianyong and Tang Jitian visited a hospital after their release. Below are records, translated by China Aid, that the men received during their hospital visit.
The lawyers, who were defending illegally-detained Falun Gong practitioners, were taken from their hotel on March 21 (see https://chinaaid.org/2014/03/four-human-rights-lawyers-detained-in.html). One of the lawyers, Zhang Junjie, was released five days later and published his account of the events that transpired during his detention through China Aid (see https://chinaaid.org/2014/04/lawyer-detained-in-heilongjiang-black.html).

Yesterday, Jiang, Tang, Zhang and Wang Cheng released a declaration about the facts of the case through China Aid (see https://chinaaid.org/2014/04/four-lawyers-release-declaration-after.html).
