(Midland, Texas (CAA)– Oct 11, 2005)—CAA learned, Mr. Hua Huiqi is facing arrest at any moment today. This morning, about 7-8am self-proclaimed police from Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau rushed into Hua’s home and attempted to arrest him with a summons notice. They claimed they did this because Hua was accused of providing help to a Christian lady, Sun Xiaodi, from Gansu Province. Sun went to Beijing to appeal to the Beijing government concerning the religious persecution she and her house church have faced, but she was kidnapped by Beijing secret police on April 28, 2005.

Mr. Hua asked Rev. Bob Fu, President of CAA, to make an urgent appeal to the international community and the Beijing Public Security authority to intervene on his behalf.
