Two Brief Updates: 20 Christians Arrested; Three Still Detained

Sichuan — On September 26, officers from Youqing Township Police Station of Qu County, Sichuan Province took away over 20 Christian men and women who were gathered together.  Among the men arrested were Xiao Zhijiang, Lei Suhua, Hu Zhengshu.

Henan — In another development, three people arrested on September 20 2010 – Liu Fulan, Hua Cuiying, Li Yuxia – are still being held by the police.   Li Yuxia and her friends had gone to witness the trial of her husband, Gao Jianli (from Yucheng, Henan), and another Christian, Liu Yunhua, at the the  Xuchang Municipal Intermediate People’s Court of Henan.  On their way home, they were arrested by the Yucheng Public Security Bureau.  They  have been placed on a 15-day administrative detention and are currently still detained. ChinaAid requests that people from all walks of life express their concern in both these cases.  We urge you to contact the authorities, pray for the prisoners and their captors, and take actions to equip those who fight for the oppressed.
