(Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region —Sept. 10, 2020) Covenant document between the Communist Party (CCP) and Uyghurs released from internment camps further invalidates human rights.
The CCP issued a document requiring Uyghurs who graduate from a “vocational education and training program” to sign “Eight Not-Permits” and “Seven Reports.” “Eight Not-Permits” relates to eight CCP stipulations which begin with “1. You will not be permitted to use non-personal real-name registered mobile phone cards or accounts on WeChat, QQ, Weibo, etc.”
“Seven Reports” contains seven directives designed to help ensure the CCP maintains strict control of a graduate’s concentration, location, and communication.
