U.S. fights persecution

(Washington, D.C.—Oct. 8, 2019) U.S. officials have taken concrete actions this week in advancing human rights in China.

The U.S. Department of Commerce blacklisted various Chinese entities from doing business in with U.S. corporations earlier this week. The entities have all been linked to the policing and mass incarceration of ethnic minority individuals.

Today, U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo also rolled out visa restrictions on key officials involved in the repression of minorities.

ChinaAid applauds these measures and would like to thank the commerce department and Secretary Pompeo for taking a stance against China’s human rights abuses.
