BEIJING — On October 21, 2010, the Christian dissident writer Mr. Yu Jie sent out a text message calling for urgent action:
”It has now been five days since I was placed under house arrest. A group of police officers set a desk against my door downstairs to block us inside.
”I ask all of you to continue to call and send messages denouncing Zhu Xu of the Domestic Security Protection Squad of Beijing Municipality and Wang Chunhui from the Domestic Security Protection Squad of Chaoyang District.
“Please try your best in forwarding this message to as many people as possible.”
Zhu Xu, Domestic Security Protection Squad, Beijing + 86 137 0135 7770
Wang Chunhui, Domestic Security Protection Squad, Chaoyang + 86 139 1183 2744
ChinaAid asks readers and friends to call the offices listed above and to spread the word about the unfair treatment that Mr. Yu has been receiving from government officials. Christians are encouraged to continue praying for Mr. Yu.
