China Aid Association
(Xinjiang- February 29, 2008) CAA has learned that at 10pm Beijing time on February 29, the 11 minors and 2 adults detained by Xinjiang PSB officials in Huocheng County, Qingshuihe township have been released by authorities and charges have been dropped.
According to sources, PSB officials received phone calls regarding the case while the House Church members were still in the process of interrogation. The rapid release of the prisoners is attributed to the amount of attention the case has received, and the rapid response of the media in questioning the actions of these Government officials.
