Congress Considers Sending Resolution Calling on Chinese Government to End Human Rights Abuses

China Aid Association
The 110 Congress is considering sending a bill calling on the Chinese Government to end its human rights abuses throughout the country. The resolution, drafted and submitted to the Foreign Affairs Committee outlines 12 resolutions that Congress demands China obey before the opening of the Olympic Games on August 8, 2008. Among the resolutions is the call for China to end its blocking of news media and journalists from reporting in the Xinjiang and Uyghur Autonomous Regions. The Resolution also calls on China to end its backing of Sudan and Burma and their violent regimes.
