(MIDLAND, Texas – Nov. 6, 2010) On November 4, Christian educator Ran Liang visited Midland Classical Academy (MCA), a private Christian school located in Midland, Texas.
He was given a tour of the school by Laura Shuman, the Office Manager for the Grammar School.
They discussed tuition, student schedules, classroom set up, and other basic facts about the academy. Ran was also able to view the school’s facilities, such as the sports fields and science labs.
Ran and MCA are hoping to be able to join forces in the future to establish a private Christian school in China, built on some of the same standards as MCA.
Ran Liang is considered a pioneer of Christian schooling in China.
China was without an accredited Christian school since 1952, until Ran founded one in 2005. The school has since been shut down by government authorities. Ran told ChinaAid that what he learned on Thursday will certainly contribute to the future of education in China.
