(Midland, Texas – October 15, 2024) ChinaAid held its annual gala, titled “Marked to Bring Freedom,” on October 10 at the Green Tree Country Club in Midland, Texas. The event celebrated the achievements of the association while also seeking public support for persecuted groups in the upcoming year. Congressman August Pfluger representing the 11th District of Texas, and Congressman Chip Roy representing the 21st District of Texas were the keynote speakers.
Attendees at the event shared insights with Dr. Bob Fu, the founder and president of the ChinaAid, on how best to counter China’s growing influence in the United States. Following this, the gala transitioned into a panel discussion focused on the current status of religious persecution in China, transnational repression, and recent developments in China-related policies.
For two decades, ChinaAid has consistently advocated for religious freedom and the rule of law, exposed human rights violations, and promoted truth, justice, and freedom. It stands in solidarity with the persecuted, advancing the religious freedom and rule of law for Chinese citizens. It has provided training in religious freedom and the rule of law to human rights defenders, religious and civil society leaders. It has undertaken daring multinational rescues and used robust diplomatic means to resettle persecuted Chinese leaders and their families, including lawyers, civil rights activists, democrats, Christians, and ethnic minorities, while providing financial assistance to conscience-driven individuals and advocating for the release of prisoners of conscience through various channels.
Since Xi Jinping took power, religious and minority groups across China have faced systematic suppression. From the forced disappearances of human rights lawyers to false accusations, the Chinese Communist Party continues to suppress over one million Uyghurs and Kazakhs in what is being labeled as genocide, viewing religious ethnic groups as the greatest threat to their regime.
By donating to support the work of ChinaAid Association, more comprehensive support can be provided to those persecuted and their families. Supporters may still contribute here.
