(USA)- ChinaAid welcomes American pastor David Lin to freedom after he served 18 years in prison for trying to build an independent church in Beijing.
Trapped by the CCP
The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) should have never jailed Pastor Lin. He was trapped by corrupted CCP officials in a scam when they falsely promised him to build an independent house church in Beijing. CCP intelligence operatives most likely gave this misleading information, leading to a life sentence for Lin. His official charge was “business fraud.”
Previous advocacy efforts were made to free David Lin, including a rare in-person visit in 2023.
A long list of prisoners
The CCP needs to stop this kind of hostage-taking with the US Government. They continually hold prisoners of conscience hostage and bargain their freedom with the Western world. Pastor David Lin was just a single case of this.
