(Zhangzhou, Fujian – July 3, 2024) According to the “China’s Five O’clock in the Afternoon” Kingdom Prayer Meeting, recently a major house church in Zhangzhou City, Fujian Province was attacked, and the church’s computer data was copied by the police.

Recently the venues of two house churches in Haicang District, Xiamen City were targeted by relevant authorities, so that the church could not use these venues for prayer.

Recently “Grace City” held a forum in Hong Kong, and some domestic preachers went to participate. When they returned, many preachers were questioned by the Public Security Bureau and the Religious Affairs Bureau and given warnings.

According to the Chengdu Early Rain Covenant Church, due to the overall economic downturn in China, many members of the church are currently unemployed and have difficulty finding suitable jobs. Some members have been owed wages by their companies for up to half a year, and some families have been unable to make ends meet for a long time. Since March this year, deputy Deacon Jia Xuewei has been forced to move many times. The rented accommodation was terminated because the landlord was threatened. Even if he lived in a youth hostel or a small hotel, he was still tracked down and driven away by the police. In the huge city of Chengdu, there is almost no place for him to stay. Recently, two Christians from the Early Rain Covenant Church in Guang’an have been summoned and harassed by the police many times.

It has just been learned recently that Li Yanping, 61, of the Baode House Church in Xinzhou City, Shanxi Province, was detained on March 15, 2021 on the grounds of organizing others to illegally cross the national border. She was later sentenced to 7 years in prison and will be imprisoned in Shanxi Women’s Prison until March 14, 2028. Recently Li Yanping’s husband Zhao Chundan revealed that his wife Li Yanping is currently in good health, but she is a little calcium deficient. She couldn’t read the Bible in prison, and her memory was getting worse, so sometimes she couldn’t even remember God’s words. Li Yanping has been preaching the gospel to the people around her in prison, and now seven or eight of her cellmates are willing to believe in the Lord. Li Yanping’s parents are over 80 years old, and she hopes that the church and her family will take care of her elderly parents for her and fulfill her filial piety. Her parents are also grateful that their daughter has such an experience and can experience the suffering of Jesus Christ.
