(Nanyang, Henan—Jan. 19, 2019) More than 100 SWAT agents stormed an end-of-year meal hosted held by Christians in a hotel in Nanyang, Henan province Wednesday morning, and many people were sent to the emergency room.

At 11:00 a.m. on Jan. 15, around 150 Christians were gathering for a meal commemorating the past year when more than 100 SWAT officers surrounded them and began taking pictures. Some of the Christians argued with them, and mobile service to the hotel was blocked.

During the process, several Christians passed out, and medical personnel took them to the emergency room.

ChinaAid exposes abuses in order to stand in solidarity with the persecuted and promote religious freedom, human rights, and rule of law. If you wish to partner with us in helping those persecuted by the Chinese government for their beliefs, please click here to make a charitable donation.
