(Wenling, Zhejiang–June 8, 2015) Authorities in China’s coastal Zhejiang province began demolishing a multi-million dollar Three-Self Patriotic Movement (TSPM) church following an agreement between the two parties.
According to locals, Yanxia Christian Church’s leaders, who are TSPM members, negotiated an agreement with the local government in Wenling prior to the demolition. In the compromise, authorities agreed to relocate the church building and pay the church one million Yuan (U.S. $ 161,100) in compensation.
